|  IRIS F-14
Moin, hat jemand hier die IRIS Simulation F-14A (Payware)? Leider zeigt ihr Demomovie nur Außenansichten, die paar 2D/VC Cockpit Screenshots auf simmarket.com sehen zwar ganz nett aus, aber lassen völlig unklar, wie viele Systeme da wirklich funktionieren. Auch der Werbetext von IRIS geht NULL auf Systeme ein, nur auf Model. Ich denke da z.B. an Vorbereitung für catapults und cable arrestor landings... Die Freeware-F14 sehen zwar alle ganz nett aus, fliegen sich aber bisweilen wirklich gruselig. Ähnliches gilt für die Cockpits (sorry, aber wenn mich das Standard-Flusi GPWS in nem Fighter annervt, dann is einfach Zappe)... Aber ich befürchte auch diese Payware F-14 is mal wieder nur "eye candy"... Gruß, Daniel |

Hiya Daniel, I've the IRIS F-14 tomcat but am not very happy with it to be honest. The visual model is great a very beautiful and it flies also very well.... BUT framerates are (very) bad, also very unstable, they jump between 10 and 30 on my computer (both in outside, 2D en VC view), while the IRIS Phanthom has a steady 25-30 fps. (i've locked my fps at 30). No specific (advanced) systems are modeled, except the "Switchable Automatic and Manual Sweep System" of the wings. The HUD is the standard DSB/IRIS HUD.
