Standard Operation Eastwind

Guten Tag,

My german is not too good, so if you don't mind I'll give you the details in English....Anyway, Westwind Airlines has launched a humanitarian mission to Zimbabwe called Operation Eastwind. This Operation started last Monday in Toronto and will be moving to Frankfurt tommorow, the 8th of January. This weekend, Westwind Pilots will be flying Trans-Atlantic Routes from CYYZ to EDDF, these finish at 23:59GMT on Sunday (11th January). After this there will be a week of feeder routes in Germany, then next weekend we will be leaving Germany and heading off to Zimbabwe. The reason I am notifying you of this is because we seen more WWA pilots then expected getting involved in CYYZ, so I though we might notify you to expect many more WWA airplanes in Germany over the next week. From my past experiences of VACC-SAG, you are one of the most active groups in VATSIM, and there is nearly always someone online in Germany or Switzerland. You are also extremely hepful and are a pleasure to fly with, so I hope that you will give us a hand during our german stage and will be as kind and helpful as you always are.

Thank You,
Eoin Coates,
WWA2104,
Frankfurt am Mein Hub Manager,
Westwind Airlines

Hi Eoin,

great that you are coming to Germany! You probably already did so, but just to make sure: did you suggest your pilots to use routes from VATroute only? This would be appreciated by ATC and other pilots, thanks!

You probably know that also: you can find the latest ATC-booking data either on VACC-SAG's website, through ServInfo (third network button, select EUROBOOK, download data) and VROUTE.

Have fun!

Hi Eoin!

Did you already have contact with the guys at VATSIM Central Africa? Maybe we can arrange some enroute ATC for you and your fellows, including Non-Radar-Procedures.

Maybe you want to check the website: http://www.vatcaf.org

At least it could be worth a try. Don't know if Zimbabwe should be done by the south african guys or by us, but usually VATCAF likes to explore unknown airports and countries - we have a special squad for that called MOVCON.

There is no route for the CYYZ-EDDF flight on vatroute so is the VRoute one ok:

GOPEV MSS YMX J568 DICEN J553 YNA 5E17 REDBY 5450N 5640N 5830N 5820N ERAKA ETSOM UP58 GIVEM UM90 LONAM UL7 PAM UB1 DIDAM UL603 TEBRO UZ738 COL T150 ROLIS

Also there is a Westwind Company one:

KENDI YCF 4870N STEAM OYSTR 5550N 5740N 5930N 5920N ERAKA UP58 PELET

Are these two routes ok?

There is no route from CYYT to EDDF because NATs change daily.
I suggest after ERAKA:
ERAKA UP58 ETSOM UP58 FINDO UM982 TOPPA UL74 MONIL UP62 PAM
UL620 ARNEM UL603 TEBRO T150 ROLIS
