[8.3] Winnipeg's "Spring Thaw" Event

Winnipeg is pleased to announce that we will be hosting an event in the Winnipeg FIR called "The Spring Thaw." Winter is almost over, and lots of us are happy, others aren't so happy. We will be hosting this event on March 8th, and will run from approx. 1700Z-0500Z. We will attempt a 12 hour event. If traffic slows down, then we may shut down early.

The main purpose of this event is to staff all of the airports in the FIR, including Winnipeg (CYWG) Regina (CYQR) Saskatoon (CYXE) and Thunder Bay (CYQT) with atleast a tower position at each.

Both VFR and IFR are welcome as long as the weather holds out.
