| VATeir is very pleased to announce the Open FIR event which will take place on Sunday 25th November between 1800Z and 2300Z. With over 5 airports manned by nearly 15 controllers, this is set to be one of our biggest events of the year! So whether you're flying domestic, continental or transatlantic, theres something for you! This will be the last major event of the year to be held on Irish shores so if you've yet to visit the Emerald Isle this is the perfect opportunity to do so. Our controllers will make you feel very welcome while offering you a service that will be 'as real as it gets'. WHERE TO FLY? Well thats for you to choose. But VATeir will be providing ATC coverage for Dublin(EIDW), Shannon(EINN), Cork(EICK), Galway(EICM) and several other regional airports. We are encouraging as much transatlantic traffic as possible to fly in this event so anyone wishing to do so will find plenty of info about flying transatlantic from/to Ireland on the event website. If you plan on flying to Ireland from the US or Canada, we reccommend leaving around 10-11am EST/3-4pm GMT which will have you arriving in Ireland around 5pm EST/10pm GMT. Likewise anyone flying domestic, or from/to the UK or Europe should familiarise themselves with local procedures on the event website. EVENT WEBSITE For this event, we have made a special website where pilots will find all the the latest charts, scenery and information they need to know when flying from/to/in Ireland. We understand that it can sometimes be a chore to read through information, but we would ask that pilots read through the information on the website so as to make yours and the controller's life easier during the event. Members can access the event website at: www.vateir.com/openfir. So join us on the 25th November to experience the best in Irish ATC as they are pushed to the limits in what is set to be one of the biggest events on the calender |

Auch am dritten Tag hintereinander kann man vollen ATC in Europa genießen. Nach Amsterdam und Frankfurt ist heute Irland voll besetzt.
