South East RTS Winter Real Operations Day 2007

VATSIM-UK in conjunction with South East Regional Training Scheme proudly present the winter edition of their bi-annual Real Operations Event.

The SE-RTS Real Operations day will take place on Saturday March 3rd from 0900z to 2330z, allowing for a full days worth of movements from the busiest day in the winter season.

The world’s busiest single runway airport London Gatwick (EGKK/LGW) will be fully manned throughout, with most air traffic controllers under 1 roof in a hotel on the English Riviera.

This year’s event involves 500 planned movements into and out of London Gatwick.

This years movements include flights operated by AT72’s to Boeing 747’s, from small regional carriers like Aurigny Air Services from the Channel Islands to major UK Carriers of British Airways, British Airways (operated by GB Airways), BA Connect, Virgin Atlantic, First Choice Airways, Monarch, Thomas Cook UK, Thomsonfly, Easyjet, Flybe and more. However that’s not all, major European and International carriers are also have movements from, American Airlines, Continental and Zoom to Malev, Centralwings, Air France (Operated by Brit Air), Ryanair, Sterling, TAP Air Portugal, Air Baltic and many many more.

To make this event as realistic as possible, we will again, provide a real world flightplan from each separate flight (Pilots with Oceanic flights, will receive the real world flightplan within 2 hours of the standard departure time) and adhere to the NOTAMs in effect throughout the day and into the evening.

Ja Ja ATC war hervorragend, hat spaß gmacht es ist nur schwer mit einem Call zu fliegen welches man nicht gewohnt ist, ich mit meiner AUA9KT you are not identified

Ach hör mir auf mir Callsigns. Schlimm!
Ich bin hin (das ging noch) mit BAW2751 aber von Gatwick nach Zürich zurück musste Ich BAW34GZ benutzen.

Ich fand dieses Event wie oben beschrieben aber dennoch sehr gut gelungen.
