Welcome to the Northern Norway Event, Sunday 19.november 17:00-21:00z
You are invited to a special event in the northern part of Norway. This mountainous part of Norway is characterized by smaller airports (but Bodø and Tromsø), shorter runways, more interesting procedures and a beautiful artic nature.
This is a newbie friendly event!
At the airport, contact the ATC, who will help you with all questions you might have. If we get a lot of newbies we are going to establish a Flight Information Center. Your ATC will help you with information about this service and give you the frequency and when to contact.
Our Flight Information Center will help newbies in filling and filing a flightplan, brief procedures, give weather information etc.
Shorter runways – more fun!
It’s possible to fly both shorter flights between smaller airports (ex. ENAT – ENVD) and between larger airports like ENTC and ENBO. At the pilots briefing page we are suggesting some routes to/from some airports.
Some rare procedures!
At the pilots briefing page you will find information about witch procedures to expect in the northern part of Norway. The funniest part about this event is the possibility to fly other procedures than ILS approach under ATC-service. Although it’s possible with full ILS at for example ENTC and ENBO.
Some airports have some really interesting VFR-procedures and if the weather is good, this would be fun to try.
Exotic Svalbard!
This evening we also cover Bodø Oceanic which includes Svalbard (ENSB). We are not sure, but this might be the world’s most northerly airport. Make sure to have anti-ice engaged.

Inwiefern dieses Routing praxisnah ist kann ich nicht beurteilen. Jedoch wäre es eben fehlerfrei und vielleicht interessant für Leute, die heute Abend einen längeren Leg von Tromsö nach EDDM fliegen wollen.
Bzgl. anderer Ziele in D kann man es ja vielleicht anpassen...
