Anyone up for flying out of Egelsbach (real)? - VACC-SAG Forum

Hello fellas,

I'm an Estonian but I was sent to the DFS Academy in Langen for the air traffic controller (ACC) training and have been living here since mid-August and going to stay until the end of March. I am a private pilot and in Estonia I mostly flew Cessna 150 series during the training etc and later on I moved over to Piper P28R-200 Arrow and Socata TB-9, also C172. I ofcourse wanted to continue flying here in Germany and right now I'm checked out to fly the new Diamond DA-40's operated by Compass Aviation. I'm also trying to get the things going at Darmstadt Flying Club for C172 which is cheaper. I'd now like to know whether there are any fellow pilots or enthusiasts in the Frankfurt area who are interested in doing some flying and sharing the costs? Would be great to meet some other aviation fans here...

Hello Georg,
thx for your offering - btw did you know that DFS has an own Flying Club where you might share with collegeaus GA Planes.

Hi,

Yep I know and I already did some research on this. However, I was told that the club doesn't have as much to do with DFS anymore as it had before and the joining fee is also very high which is a bit pointless for me to pay if I'm only living here a bit longer than half a year.
