Hallo,

ich werde hier im Laufe der Zeit sämtliche Änderungen einarbeiten die von EuroControl veröffentlicht werden. Dazu zählen zum einen die beiden unten genannten Routing Information, als auch die Routings von Oceanic/Major zu Major/Oceanic. Erst einmal nur auf Deutschland beschränkt. Wenn das vollständig ist folgen Österreich und die Schweiz mit den Major's und ganz am Ende vielleicht noch die Minor's!
Und irgendwann kommt vielleicht auch noch Südamerika hinzu.

Standard Neue Routings über Irland!

  • Basically pilots will enter Irish airspace from the Atlantic via a 15W fix as before, and will then fly to one of 17 new waypoints along 14W, known as 'Landfall' points. Pilots can then fly directly to any waypoint from here, this should be indicated in the flight with the use of 'DCT', e.g. "5200N/02000W MALOT GISTI DCT LIFFY UL975 WAL". NOTE: Shannon may redirect pilots to their next waypoint prior to reaching the 14W fix.


  • Similarly pilots flying Westbound across the Atlantic will now be able to fly directly from an entry point to Irish airspace, to a point along the oceanic boundary with Shanwick(15W), which again would be filed using 'DCT', e.g. "TRN UP600 BLACA UP620 NIMAT DCT OMOKO DCT 4600N/02000W".


  • As can be seen from the chart the fixes coloured in green are night routes only, the reason for this being RAF activity in London airspace during daytime hours, which can and does go on on VATSIM so pilots should take this into account when planning their routes. Pilots will also notice fixes surrounding the D1, D13 and D14 danger areas, these are effectively 'buffer zones' so pilots can avoid these areas in the event of them becoming active because of military activity.




So anyone using AIRAC 0913 onwards, please take this new procedure into account when planning your route. For pilots not using the latest AIRAC cycle the only difference is you won't have the new waypoints, and Shannon will simply redirect you to the exit point of Irish airspace given in your flightplan.

Standard NAT Eastbound Night Time Fuel Saving Routes (NTFSRs)

Background
For some years now London ACC and Shannon ACC have been considering how to optimise the service to Eastbound traffic of the North Atlantic (NAT). Tactically much of the traffic has been given direct routings from entry into Shannon to exit and from entry into London to the exit with Maastricht. Unfortunately the impact of this has not been maximised as the Aircraft Operators (AOs) still have to flight plan via the North Atlantic European Routing System (NERS) or via another RAD compliant route, thus carrying excess fuel for several hours which results in a percentage of that fuel being burned.

NTFSRs - Phase 1

With effect for traffic landing the 18th December (AIRAC 0913) UK and Ireland will implement a series of night DCTs which will allow the traffic to plan from the Landfall Fix (014°W) DCT to the exit of Shannon's airspace, which must be a recognised entry point to London ACC airspace, and thence DCT to the London Eastern boundary with Maastricht (see chart and associated Notams).

The implementation of these DCTs has necessitated the creation of 5 new boundary points between Shannon and London as follows: TURLU, ARKIL, SAMON, MORAG, DUNLO and the inclusion of BOYNE in the upper airspace.
The corresponding boundary points between London ACC and Maastricht ACC are LAMSO, REDFA and KONAN.
These DCTs are only available above FL285 and only between specified times to meet the peak of the NAT Eastbound Flow as follows:
LESLU, ARKIL, LULOX, SAMON between 00.01 until 05.10
BOYNE, DUNLO, LIPGO, MORAG, BAKUR, BANBA between 00.01 until 05.20
The difference in timing is due to the shape of the boundary between the 2 ACCs.
During the times mentioned the NTFSRs are COMPULSORY for traffic that would normally exit UK through the 3 exit points mentioned above excluding Brussels and Amsterdam, this traffic is not allowed to utilise the NTFSRs in Phase 1.
It is important to note that the NTFSRs are COMPULSORY in both Irish and London airspace, despite the implementation of Free Route Airspace in the Shannon AOC (Area of Control).
All of the DCT portions are published in Appendix 4 of the RAD in the EG portion and the NTFSRs are included in the NERS Common Portion document of the RAD and are identified by the prefix "F"
These NTFSRs are NOT for traffic Destination: EB (Belgium); EG (United Kingdom); EH (The Netherlands); LF (France).

In the event of late-running traffic, perhaps due to traffic density of weather in the New York area, at the boundary between Shannon and London the traffic MAY be put back on the normal route structure depending on the workload of the controllers.

In the unlikely event of Military activity impacting upon the NTFSRs, this will be notified at least 48hours in advance (an agreement between London and the Military), London will issue a NOTAM and the corresponding DCTs affected will be disabled (ie not available) during the specified period.

NTFSRs - Phase 2

In March 2010 (AIRAC 1003) Scottish will also implement a number of DCTs from their Landfall Fixes to the boundary with MUAC above FL285. The FABEC (France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg) Night Network Working Group has also been working on a series of DCTs further into Europe that will also be published in March and will connect to the NTFSRs.

Phase 2 will also include traffic destination Amsterdam and Brussels
